NEAT (the New English American Theater) presents The Vagina Monologues.
V-Day is a global activist movement to stop violence against women and girls. Locally since 2016, V-Day Stuttgart has promoted creative events to increase awareness, raise money and support existing anti-violence organizations to help all women, cisgender, transgender, and gender non-conforming.
In February 2019, V-Day Stuttgart and NEAT once again collaborated to raise money for Frauen helfen Frauen and Frauenberatungs- und Therapiezentrum Fetz with three performances as well as independent fundraising.
In 2018, V-Day Stuttgart managed to raise over €4000 with ticket sales, the silent art auction, and individual private donations to donate to Stuttgart’s own Frauen helfen Frauen and Frauenberatungs-und Therapiezentrum Fetz. 10% of the proceeds were donated to V-day international’s global fund, The Resistance. The show was performed at Kulturzentrum Merlin, Theater am Olgaeck, and Kulturwerk. In addition to the shows, there was a variety show and silent art auction in cooperation with Kulturkabinett.
V-Day Stuttgart believes in the premise put forth by the V-Day organization, that art has the power to change people’s thinking and to inspire them to act. The only lasting impact for change is possible when ordinary people do extraordinary things. V-Day’s conviction comes from knowing that women know what is best for their communities and cities and that empowering these women to become community leaders and activists is the only way to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day will not stop until the idea of violence is unthinkable. It is recognized as well, that violence against women is a problem that impacts all races, classes, social and community positions, workplaces, backgrounds and ages.

V-DAY 2020 ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!
We are so happy to share with you our plans for a brand new production of
The Vagina Monologues
celebrating 5 years of V-Day Stuttgart! Our shows will once again be in the month of February. Our show dates are as follows:
FRAUEN HELFEN FRAUEN
For more than 40 years, we have been committed to stopping domestic violence against women, girls and boys.
In our Autonomous Women’s Home , we offer women and their children anonymous accommodation, protection and security against physical, psychological and sexual violence emanating from husbands, life partners, fathers or family members.
We also see it as our task to stop domestic violence against women and children and to make a political commitment to improving their situation.
Frauenberatungs- und Therapiezentrum Stuttgart eV
The Frauenberatungs- und Therapiezentrum Fetz eV was founded in 1991. We offer psychological counseling and therapeutic interviews for women by women. In our support we take into account the different living conditions of women. We see the women as experts for their own life situation. The focus of our counseling is to support self-help and to strength the woman’s own competencies.
In the Frauenberatungs- und Therapiezentrum Fetz eV we have a multiprofessional team of certified psychologists, teachers and social workers. The counselors have additional training in various forms of therapy.
Thank you to everybody who has helped us raise money for our beneficiaries for the past 4 years!
We are thrilled to be working together to make V-Day Stuttgart 2020 a reality!
